Suresh Dutta, M.D.

Dr. Suresh Dutta received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College Of Medicine. He majored in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University, where he also studied economics and received his undergraduate degree. He completed his residency at Cornell University in a program that emphasized training in brachytherapy and radiosurgery. He then pursued a fellowship at Duke University on the pediatric, central nervous system and lymphoma services.

Dr. Dutta had worked closely with the gynecologic-oncology and head and neck oncology services at Parkland Hospital and Los Angeles County Hospital while serving as faculty attending at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and later at the University of Southern California. He has served on the radiation oncology committee of the GOG and is a member of the NCI’s designated task force for uterine cancer research. He has recently co-authored several peer-reviewed papers on the effects of radiation on swallowing and is now revising a book chapter on radiation therapy for vulvar cancer. Dr. Dutta’s radiosurgery background includes Gamma-knife, Cyberknife, BrainLab and X-knife.
