Dr. Sylvia Zubyk
Sylvia Zubyk, M.D. is the only female radiation oncologist currently on staff specializing in breast cancer. She has studied and practiced in many regions of the U.S. receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, and her Medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She then went on to complete her post-graduate and residency training at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York; Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina; and completed her radiation oncology residency in June of 2004 at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Zubyk currently serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Department of Radiation Oncology.
As a female radiation oncologist and native of South Texas, Dr. Zubyk brings an element of expertise and dedication to both her patients and Texas Cancer Clinic in general, as she believes in practicing for the quality of life.
